Overview

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of programs to ensure goals/objectives are accomplished/delivered within prescribedschedule and budget performing the following duties directly or through subordinates. Assigned program(s): Realize annualsales of approximately $1M to $10M Typically assigned a single cost protected or firm fixed price developmental orproduction contract

Major Position Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities are performed under the oversight of a Program Director, Principle ProgramManager, Senior Program Manager, or Program Manager; they include the following:Reviews program proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing program,staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of programEstablishes work plan and staffing for each phase of program, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of programpersonnelConfers with program staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authorityDirects and coordinates activities of program personnel to ensure program progresses on schedule and within prescribedbudgetSecures support from other functional areas as requiredMaintains ultimate cost, schedule, technical performance responsibility for assigned program(s)Reviews status reports prepared by program personnel and modifies schedules or plans as requiredPrepares program reports for management, client, or othersConfers with program personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problemsCoordinates program activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agenciesSupports proposal preparation

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Militaryexperience directly related to active or possible future product highly desirable
