Purpose:

• The individual will prepare and process invoices to government, commercial, and inter-company vendors and to provide local, division, and corporate management with various reports and analysis.

Major Position Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger system and sales and cost of sales analysis
• Prepare and process monthly journal entries, process for payment, and follow up monthly Progress Payment Requests, Cost Plus Invoices, and inter-company invoices
• Perform monthly reconciliation with other locations
• Prepare various monthly financial reports for use at local, division and corporate levels
• Maintain local project cost system by opening, changing and closing various projects as requested by Program Management
• Prepare Estimates at Completion (EAC’s) for various contracts
• Assist with various audits and other special requests as necessary
• Prepare department budgets, forward pricing rates, incurred cost submission
• Manage and prepare proposal pricing
• Assist with strategic plan preparation and monthly current estimate preparation
• Focus on financial reporting, integrity and operational controls

• The professional accounting work will consist of assisting in the month end and year end closing process, reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, running depreciation calculations, consolidation for financial data to present to upper management and performs related duties as required

Basic Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Major: Accounting or Finance

Years and area of experience (required for the role):

• Must possess 2-4 years experience in a general ledger and/or cost accounting position
• Must be able to present financial information to all levels of management when required
