Gemma Services is seeking a Part-time, Art Therapist to join our Residential Treatment Program located in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Our nonprofit agency provides education, nurturing, and healing for children, teens, and families through evidence-based and individualized services. We offer education programs, mental health services in residential and community settings, foster care and adoption services, and prevention programs.
Residential Treatment provides 24/7 clinical treatment and trauma-focused care for children and youth who have experienced traumas and/or significant mental health concerns. Our goal is to help them heal and learn new skills so they can live successfully in a home and community setting.
General Responsibilities
Reporting to the Clinical Services Director has primary responsibility for implementing art therapy sessions as part of the Residential Program. The Art Therapist is also expected to provide consultation for the treatment team and to facilitate community resource involvement as appropriate. Occasionally may assist with developing activities related to special events. This is a part time, 20 hour a week position.
Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree in Art Therapy preferred. Current Art Therapy certification (ATR-BC) preferred.
Skill(s):
Experience: Two (2) years of related experience preferred. Prior experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
