GEDIA MICHIGAN LLC is Hiring a Tool Maker- 2nd Shift Near Orion Township, MI
An opportunity exists for a motivated team player to join our tier 1 Production Department in the automotive stamping industry. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing existing tools with respect to dates or deadlines and economic efficiency. Active collaboration and participation in setting up the tool maintenance department and continuous improvement processes to develop technical and organizational structures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The qualified candidate will carry out repair, maintenance and optimization work on equipment as specified and to document according to company standards (i.e. maintenance card).
- Order spare parts or, if necessary, produce them using standard procedures approved by the supervisor.
- Dismantle defective or optimizable equipment and report any errors and faults to the responsible supervisor. Possibly make proposals for fault-finding and / or optimization options.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Apprenticeship as a toolmaker.
- 3-5 years of experience in maintaining tools, press operation and die setting in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of tool maintenance processes, production processes and organization.
