As a System Administrator supporting the Operational Technology Division, you will be trusted to work on Windows based servers and systems in a production environment and implement, administer, manage, and maintain, servers and systems. In this role, a typical day will include: Collaborating with the Operational Technology Division to effectively provision, install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, and infrastructure. Primary responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of computers, networks, and software Work with end users and develop knowledge of their unique tools and apply sound system principals to apply recommendations for solutions Support the unit with other duties as assigned WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Four (4) year college degree in system administration, information technology or equivalent Three (3) years of experience maintaining, managing, administering, and implementing Windows based servers and systems in a production environment or, in lieu of education, eight (8) years of experience Experience in the following Site and deskside user system and software troubleshooting and support Troubleshooting failed hardware such as hard drives, power supplies, components, or entire servers Configuring and monitoring Microsoft (current Version) DHCP Server Maintaining Skype for Business Server and client installations Configuring and monitoring systems/servers utilizing Windows Admin Center Configuring and monitoring systems/servers utilizing Failover Cluster Manager tools Configuring and monitoring systems/servers utilizing Remote Server Administrative Tools (RSAT) Using scripting languages, mainly but not limited to PowerShell, for task automation Microsoft (current Version) Hyper-V Manager Mass storage arrays and servers File and Storage Services Remote Desktop Services Print and Document Services Top Secret Clearance Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access Preferred qualifications Microsoft (current Version) Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) Microsoft’s System Center monitoring components/methods Dell OpenManage essentials DNS technologies Windows Server Update Services Group Policy technologies Skype for Business Server and Client SQL Server System Center Maintaining cloud infrastructure systems (examples: Azure, AWS) Maintaining on premise cloud infrastructure systems (examples: Azure, AWS, OpenStack) WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU: Full-flex work week 401K with company match Customizable health benefits packages Collaborative teams of highly motivated critical thinkers and innovators Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Rewards program for high-performing employees Not sure this job’s the one for you?
