Responsibilities

Will work directly with the Producers and management to ensure an excellent customer service experience for our external clients. This position requires regular in office attendance and punctuality. This position requires extensive interaction with producers and support staff.

Act as first point of contact for an assigned book of complex commercial insurance clients for all lines of coverage to effectively handle client requests and concerns 

  • Market new & renewal business at the direction of the producer, or when deemed appropriate at your discretion. Marketing will include collecting updates from the client; preparation of applications; loss run analysis; submission to insurance carrier underwriters, in addition to follow up and quote negotiations with insurance carrier underwriters. Marketing may also include electronic submissions or application entry into individual insurance carrier websites, follow up and quote negotiation within the carrier websites or with the insurance carrier underwriter
  • Maintain paperless account files in AMS360 agency management system proficiently to document all written & verbal correspondence with clients and insurance carriers
  • Responsible for policy processing quality control
  • Process and maintain endorsements, cancellations, audits and invoicing
  • Work with clients to ensure policies are not cancelled by the carrier, including NOC follow up with client and reinstatement
  • Prepare new and renewal client summaries of insurance
  • Prepare new and renewal complex insurance premium breakdowns
  • Review insurance certificate requirements and issuance of insurance certificates and EPI’s 
  • Process requests from clients regarding coverage, renewal questions, and complaints.
  • Ensure work is completed with high level of accuracy
  • Research and analyze data to develop and enhance client’s insurance offerings
  • Stay up to date with the insurance carrier marketplace
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurance carrier underwriters and agency staff
  • Other duties as assigned by producer or management

Qualifications

  • State of California Property & Casualty Broker / Agent license within 6 months of employment.
  • High school graduate / college degree preferred.
  • Ability to work in paperless environment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to negotiate with insurance company underwriters.
  • Minimum of 1- 4 years of commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • AMS 360 experience a plus.
