GC Services Limited Partnership is Hiring a Senior Compensation Analyst Near Houston, TX

Overview

The Senior Compensation Analyst will administer the Company’s compensation programs and activities, ensuring programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. The Sr. Compensation Analyst responsibilities include but not limited to salary structures, short and long-term incentive programs, annual compensation benchmarking, job description maintenance, job evaluations, etc. This role is responsible for working in conjunction with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition colleagues. Additionally, this function plays a key role in the optimization of HR processes, supporting HR technologies by ensuring data quality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Administer compensation programs for the company, including merit, bonus, equity, offers, and promotions. Includes activities such as planning, budgeting, systems set up, communications, analysis, and presentation of proposed annual programs to leadership• Provide guidance and counsel on salary proposals, salary structure, job evaluations, promotion requests, and other comp-related programs to support organizational priorities• Conduct job studies, job analysis, and level setting to maintain position classification and grade equity within the salary structure• Participate in salary surveys and analyze market data. Function as the key survey contact for assigned surveys• Carry out complex HR data processing tasks; provide collaborative assistance and support for colleagues when needed and use expertise to help improve data collection tools and administration processes• Perform regular business process reviews to identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with IT to lead requirements gathering for the design, implementation and enhancements of HR system(s), tools and applications; focusing on process, automation and streamlined usability• Drive HR Reporting and Analytics ensuring quality data and metrics are available to support business needs• Understand end-to-end process and underlying data sources to identify data inconsistencies and make improvement• Implements, communicates, and administers company compensation programs in support of the organization's talent needs.• Identifies and makes recommendations to compensation plans/programs that are cost-effective, consistent with compensation trends in the marketplace, and align with company objectives• Conducts competitive benchmarking and market analysis to assist with the evaluation of the Company’s job classification structure, rate ranges, geographic differentials, and short-term/long-term incentive programs, and to establish competitive pay practices which align with our overall pay philosophy• Reviews internal equity and provides feedback to management on new hire compensation and salary adjustments• Leads annual compensation cycles that may include salary budget planning, report development, data management, calculation of merit increases, and incentive payouts while providing consulting on the process• Collaborates with HR Business Partners and business unit management in the development, updating, and modeling of annual incentive compensation plans, including presentation to leadership. Ensures plan designs are properly aligned with the organization's strategic needs• Develops and delivers compensation tools, training and communications for HR Business Partners and Leaders• Create End User training documentation and plans, and facilitate training• Analyze, design, build and maintain custom reports and dashboards• Leads a variety of compensation related projects as a subject matter expert in broader projects• Calculate commission/incentive award payments to sales personnel based on commission plan provisions

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Experience:

5 years of relevant experience in human resources or a related field with strong knowledge of HR processes and operations

Computer Experience:

Must be able to type quickly and accurately, use a mouse effectively, and have a basic understanding of Windows-based operating systems.

Skills & Abilities:

• High attention to detail – will need to reconcile multiple data sets in different currencies• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of processes from start to finish, creating a plan for what will be done, how it will be done, and when it will be done and managing activity to timeline• Strong analytical skills: able to analyze complex problems and devise viable solutions.• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel• Workday experience preferred but not required• Experiencing driving global reward programs, establishing infrastructure for career framework, skills-based compensation model• Innovative approach to workforce management and reward programs with a solution driven attitude
