Your Role We are looking for a Senior Manager of IT Operations join our Information Technology management team. The mission of our team is to unleash the power of digital platforms to modernize the core work of the foundation, accelerate achieving our goals and amplify the impact the foundation can have on the world. This Senior Manager role is accountable for leading information technology business operations, vendor relationship and contract management, partnering with finance on budgeting, optimizing and streamlining rhythm of the business related to IT operations, and using reporting and other technologies for scalable, secure, and modern solutions to help make better data driven decisions. This role will lead the centralization and optimization of contract management processes in collaboration with IT partners and will also work with other operations teams on complex organization-wide impacting projects, such as strategic procurement. The Senior Manager, IT Operations will be responsible for people management and encouraging a culture of inclusivity, willingness, and fun! This role will also partner closely with other leaders across the foundation to build coalitions and partnerships to apply business operations and reporting best practices, establish a consistent contract management rhythm of the business in alignment with annual planning, define and report on business operations metrics and lead related projects and programs. A successful candidate will have experience leading business operations for information technology including partnering with finance on budgeting related to complex contracts, vendor management lifecycle including onboarding, monitoring, management and contract lifecycle. The candidate will act as a trusted advisor to IT leaders and others across the organization. What You’ll Do Providing coaching and mentoring to team including performance management of all direct reports Partner with finance, IT managers, business partners, and other departments on annual planning tasks and monthly budget forecasting Lead consolidation and optimization of vendor contract management program Build a portfolio of metrics and KPIs to help streamline processes and enable visibility for the IT function to determine how they are tracking towards performance targets Oversee contract management lifecycle including net new contract terms, renewals, and impact to operating budgets with year over year forecasting Handle invoicing and billing, and related issue resolution as needed Participate in, and in some cases lead or co-lead complex, projects and programs related to business operations such as procurement and strategic sourcing Develop and maintain automated reports for management dashboards and quarterly business reviews Develop key cross-foundation relationships across a complex matrixed organization Builder, develop, lead and where needed optimize vendor partnerships to scale delivery to meet a constantly evolving demand landscape Your Experience BS in Business Management, Finance or Accounting or related field or 7 years equivalent working experience MBA preferred At least seven (7) years of dynamic experience business operations, contract and vendor management 7 years of experience leading teams, ideally in business operations and finance space A strong background in financial and contract analysis with expertise in process optimization Expertise in building core business operations metrics to reflect health of the business including presenting at quarterly business reviews to leadership Expertise in building important business operational reports and business intelligence, using data and related technology to make decisions and coach team members on decision making (Power BI experience a plus) Leadership experience and ability to build trusted relationships with IT leadership and business partners such as finance, legal, HR and other teams as needed Working knowledge of supporting department from a finance perspective including annual capital project planning and operating budgets Strong understand of rhythm of the business lifecycles including but not limited to annual planning, quarterly business reviews, contract renewals, seasonality, goal setting A passion to mentor others, develop and strengthen team members Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills Strong project and program management skills Demonstrated intuition for business and the ability to apply technology solutions to solve business problems Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed and ambiguous environment Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate, formally present and influence at all management levels Ability to set priorities and objectives, and plan, organize and drive execution with the team to meet achievements and deliverables Experience managing a large operations and capital budget Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-vendor relationships, negotiations, and contracts Shown flexibility to navigate between independent work, collaboration, leadership provided direction and consensus-building *Applicants for this role will only be considered if they are able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship. #LI-TO1 Hiring Requirements As part of our standard hiring process for new employees, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
