Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Training and Development, the Operations Trainer is responsible for the onsite training of the facilitation, delivery, and assessment of the company’s internal training and staff development programs in accordance with company initiatives and strategies. The Operations Trainer will conduct all business in accordance with Gates Hudson’s established policies and procedures, all Federal, State, County and Local Fair Housing Laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to multifamily housing.

Responsibilities

Customer Service Requirements

  • Demonstrates commitment to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Advanced situational judgement – ability to know what is needed to satisfy the customer.
  • Takes ownership to personally resolve customer problems (or find someone who can).
  • Listens well, asks clarifying questions, and checks for agreement with customers.
  • Committed to following-up with customers in all instances in a timely manner.
  • Strong sense of accountability - ensures that you will do what you say that you are going to do.
  • Creates a personal connection with customers – smiles, warm greetings, acts friendly and respectful, listens.
  • Coaches and mentors team to work together to deliver outstanding customer service.

Reasoning Development

Qualifications

This position requires:

  • High School degree or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate’s degree, Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in leasing, sales property management, or real estate.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional listening skills, ability to problem solve, and patience with team members of all skill set levels.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, determined, self-starter, and able to positively motivate.

  • Proficient in delivering professional skills courses.
  • Outstanding presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate in a way that retains trainee engagement.
  • Ability to teach a diverse group of people across all levels of employment.
  • Leadership development.
  • Ability to coordinate training events.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), plus hands-on experience with Yardi or other property management software systems
