Overview

The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full life cycle Human Resources support within the company. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

The HR Business Partner provides the day-to-day performance management guidance to the business’s management personnel through coaching, career development, counseling, and disciplinary actions. In this capacity, the HR Business Partner manages and resolves complex employee-relations issues.

The HR Business Partner further provides support to stakeholders by coaching them into thinking innovatively about their work processes and team structures with a view of improving the business’s overall efficiencies.

Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner regularly performs these duties:

Talent Management

  • Partner and coach managers on effectively engaging employees and addressing employee relations issues.
  • Drive talent reviews, planning and actions that build organization capability required to achieve business strategy
  • Build talent bench strength and effective succession planning by consulting on selection, engagement, development, movement/rotation, performance assessment, pay and rewards/recognition in support of business strategy execution
  • Targeted leadership development/coaching that aligns behavior with leadership expectations and drives business outcomes
  • Partner with internal HR segments and/or business segments to develop, implement, and measure broad-based HR initiatives

Strategy

  • Partner with all management levels to drive business results that optimize talent, structure, process and culture.
  • Strategic business advisor to executive/senior business leaders to align talent management practices, workforce effectiveness, and/or organizational effectiveness strategies in support of the business strategy
  • The HR Business Partner supports the embedding of the business’s strategies at various departments and levels. In this capacity, the HR Business Partner provides guidance and input on workforce planning, business unit restructures, and succession planning, ensuring that core HR processes are applied appropriately and in a legally compliant manner.
  • Develop strategies for people management, succession planning, and talent management for key managerial positions and for stakeholders.
  • Develops plan for the business in order to guarantee that resources are managed strategically. This is inclusive of developing a strategic approach to recruitment of key personnel.

Analytics

  • Use data driven HR business insights to provide solutions and recommendations to management.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with other HR teams in order to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that address current problems and also to avoid future ones.
  • Assists in the measuring, validating, and testing of the effectiveness of metrics that are applied by the business to assess and drive productivity optimization.
  • Develops programs and methods that aid in the achievement of measurable improvements in metric results and which avail actionable people management solutions and strategies.

Other Duties

  • Take an active role in managing our Wellness Program.

The HR Business Partner also performs similar duties as he may deem necessary for the proper execution of his duties, or duties delegated by the CFO, Director of HR, or Employee Relations and Recruiting Manager.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred or commensurate level of demonstrated experience
  • Experience: A candidate for the position will have 3-5 years working experience in a Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager role. A suitable candidate will also have some experience preferably in an organization within the same industry as the business.
  • SHRM-CP/PHR preferred
  • 5-6 years Generalist or HR Management experience
