Addison Group is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Atlanta, GA
We are looking for a talented Staff Accountant! Our client in Buckhead is seeking a talented Staff Accountant on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare standard and ad hoc journal entries as a part of the monthly close
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accrued expenses and prepaid expenses
- Ensure accounts payable/receivable operations are handled in a timely and accurate manner through collaboration with Controller, vendors, and clients
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory audits of inventory done at all locations and help resolve any issues
- Facilitate period-end tasks to close the books for the financial period and report findings to management, complete bank reconciliations and correct any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly consolidated financial statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in accounting or business
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general accounting, preferably in a professional services firm
- Experience and proficiency in using structured accounting systems is required
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables concurrently
- Strong attention to detail and independent problem solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, and manage the successful execution of multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
