Gas Express LLC is Hiring a Development Project Manager Near Atlanta, GA

Description

Position Summary:

The Development Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget while keeping company executives informed at all times. This position manages the development process from start to finish.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate project development activities.
  • Create and manage project plan schedules for production-submission-approvals.
  • Analyze and resolve project issues in timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare site investigations reports.
  • Prepare project proposals and develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Research and record municipal authorities.
  • Read, interpret and convey building codes and ordinances.
  • Represent the company in pre-application meetings.
  • Coordinate due diligence work, i.e., ordering Alta/Geo/Phase1 etc.
  • Coordinate civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and petroleum engineers.
  • Supervise design team to ensure assigned projects meet deadlines and budgets. 
  • Coordinate plans between design team(s) and municipal authorities and clients.
  • Competently read and understand civil and building plans.
  • Upload and manage architectural drawings and schematics.
  • Create site scope sheets and bid lists for comparison.
  • Invite and monitor General Contractor bids.
  • Invite and monitor Subcontractors bids.
  • Manage contracts and bids with vendors and suppliers.
  • Build take-off budgets and proformas for various types of projects.
  • Schedule maintain jobsite meeting calendar.
  • Order and prepare purchase orders for various jobsite materials.
  • Update and keep track of schedules.
  • Track project costs to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Liaise with contractor(s) on questions for various jobs.
  • Determine and identify resource requirements for projects.
  • Effectively communicate and convey with leadership on project updates, potential risks, technical challenges and recommend appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Create and interpret a variety of regular and ad hoc reports.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout all projects.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor within the scope of employee’s ability.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey information accurately.
  • Must possess good reading comprehension and an understanding of business communication standards.
  • Must maintain professional appearance as defined by Company policy.
  • Must be willing and able to adapt to changing job duties and requirements as needed.
  • Must demonstrate active listening, i.e., concentrate, understand, respond, and remember.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to proofread work for accuracy.
  • Must have proven experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Must have proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Must have working knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. A working knowledge of Procore Construction Software is preferred.
  • Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Must have proven people and leadership skills.
  • Must be familiar with Citrix ShareFile.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving/analytical skills and attention to details.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Moderate noise levels from construction equipment.
  • Minimum lifting requirement of 100 pounds for stock or equipment.
  • Frequent client and contractor interaction.
  • Standard business work week Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Local travel from site to site: 80%.
  • Site travel: 20%.

Experience and Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED, Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of project management and related experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
