About the Job:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Staff Accountant will help lead the monthly and annual year-end close process and will own the Accounts Payable function. Key interactions will be with internal stakeholders such as heads of departments as well as external stakeholders such as our auditors (PriceWaterhouse Coopers) and vendors. This is a visible role and a growth opportunity in a rapidly growing company that will bring new challenges and learning opportunities. 

This role will be based in Cambridge, MA 5 days per week. 

​​Role and Responsibilities:​ 

• Assist, participate in or lead the monthly and year-end close processes as well as assisting with the year-end annual audit. 
• Create, record and post journal entries in NetSuite. 
• Prepare account reconciliations and variance analysis. 
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for investors, management, and external auditors. 
• Manage the Accounts Payable process, including Vendor and T&E reimbursements ensuring accurate and on-time payments using NetSuite. 
• Other Ad Hoc requests as necessary. 

​​Qualifications and Education Requirements​: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
• 2 years of experience 
• Working knowledge of GAAP 
• Previous experience managing accounts payable 
• Ability to grow and take on new responsibilities as the organization expands 

​​Preferred Skills​: 

• NetSuite experience highly preferred.
• Life Sciences industry experience is preferred, but not required.
