Director of Sales Job Description

Summary

Under the direct supervision of the owner, this position is responsible for the sale of Garrison’s products in their assigned store and providing ongoing support to product distribution channel.

1. 1. Assists sales staff with organizational skills, account strategies, and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
   2. Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets
   3. Conducts sales orientation and provides access to sales training programs through building relationships with vendors
   4. Mentors and supervises sales staff in closing the sale and marketing products.
   5. Assists with planning of sales and major events
   6. Attends trade shows
   7. Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
   8. Coordinates and conducts sales meetings to include agenda preparation
   9. Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers
   10. Checks on competitive activity and works with Marketing Director and owner to develop to initiatives designed to acquire new customers
   11. Troubleshoots problems regarding products
   12. Answers questions and complaints from customers
   13. Sets goals with the team and holds team members accountable to those goals
   14. Schedules training sessions for the team with manufacturer reps
   15. Ongoing training and role playing with members of the team
   16. Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including serving gusts on the sales floor.
