Garment Machinery Company, Inc. a Distributor of Commercial Laundry Machinery based in New England, is seeking an experienced Commercial Laundry Equipment Field Service Technician . Position Summary:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the service of commercial laundry equipment. The ideal candidate must be someone who enjoys working independently and has a very strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. This position will involve working in the field repairing washers, dryers, and related equipment at customer’s laundromats and other commercial locations. A successful individual is naturally mechanically inclined, has knowledge of basic electrical repair, knows how to use a digital multimeter, and who takes pride in their work. Industry and product specific training will be provided.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, etc.

• Disassemble machines and examines mechanical and electrical parts.

• Replace worn or defective parts Reassemble appliances, adjusts pulleys, and lubricates moving parts.

• Repair electrical wiring and components.

• Responsible for premise maintenance at local area laundromats.

• Drives a company vehicle to and from work locations.

Requirements:

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuitry, up to 240V 3 phase.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Knowledge of basic electrical repair.

• Very detail oriented.

• Able to work independently & be a self-starter.

Preferred:

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, reading electrical schematics, and proficient in use of a digital multimeter.

• Experience in diagnosing and replacing commercial bearings.

• Concord, NH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
