GENERAL SUMMARY
The Human Resource Generalist provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource process at all business locations. This position resolves benefits related problems and ensures positive employee relations. The HR Generalist ensures adherence to federal and state labor laws and regulations. This role provides administrative support to human resources function as needed including record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, employee training and activities, compensation, benefits, engagement and performance. Makes recommendations for improvement to HR programs. Assists in the development of policy formulation.

The Human Resources Generalist is a critical role in the day to day Human Resources functions.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and at least two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
MS Office Suite: Outlook; Word; Excel, Proficient in HRIS and Payroll systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHR or SHRM Certification desired.
