Dynamic Ophthalmology office seeking Medical Receptionist. The position is approximately 40 hours/ week, Monday - Friday. No evenings, weekends, or Holidays required. We are located in Shrewsbury, NJ.
Garden State Retina Associates is a premier Ophthalmology practice that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Retinal diseases. This single physician practice strives to provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsibilities include:
· Greet patients upon arrival
· Schedule patient appointments
· Collect patient payments (copay and outstanding balances)
· Obtain patient information and input into Practice Management software.
· Answer phone calls/ faxes
· Verify insurance eligibility, obtain referrals
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Prior experience preferred
· Candidate should possess superior patient communication skills
· Should be polite, professional, motivated, and punctual
· Should be able to work well both independently and with other members of the team
· Should be comfortable with technology
· Experience with Athena Software preferred
· High School diploma or equivalent
