Software Developer

GAMA-1 is currently seeking a Remote Software Developer. The Software Developer will develop software applications, including the design, coding, and standards. This role will be supporting a Federal customer. (Ok to work remote but must be able to come in for a few meetings in Arlington, VA)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and study complex system requirements to design and develop software tools, support software reuse and domain analysis, and manage the implementation of software
• Coordinate with the Government and other contractors to stand-up and manage hosting environments, appropriately and securely establish and maintain connections between the RCPAMS systems and other systems
• Perform system upgrades and patches as directed by the Government
• Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flows
• Reviews existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, improving current techniques, and troubleshooting as needed
• Performs and/or leads the technical ‘heavy-lifting’ of the day-to-day work described herein

Basic Qualifications:

• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in a large Enterprise IT and/or Federal Agency environment
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in the management methodology
• At least five (5) years designing and architecting solutions in a IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
• At least five (5) years developing responsive web applications in modern hosting environments that support modern browsers
• At least five (5) years technical proficiency with web languages and frameworks including HTML, ASP.NET, Java, JavaScript, CSS, etc.
• At least five (5) years technical proficiency with SQL (database queries, batch jobs, stored procedures, etc.)
• At least five (5) years developing responsive web applications in modern hosting environments that support modern browsers
• Implementing W3C standards
• All aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, and configuration documentation
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Interface design and development
• Version control (git/GitLab)
• CAC authentication on web applications
• PKI Certificate management
• AWS/GovCloud management (from stand-up to deployment)
• AWS Workspaces
• Move files using S3 buckets via AWS Console
• Windows System Administration
• Microsoft IIS Administration
• Microsoft Active Directory Administration
• Apache Tomcat Administration
• Requirements Gathering and Development
• Analyzing COTS products to meet requirements
• Troubleshooting (logs/testing/etc.)
• Ability to find and read log files from a variety of systems (windows/firewall/ application/etc.)
• Ensuring STIG Compliance
• Client certificate authentication via an F5 in full proxy mode using certificate minting preferred
• C3D configuration preferred
• Twistlock knowledge preferred
• Splunk knowledge preferred
• SonarQube knowledge preferred
• Jenkins knowledge preferred
• SQL certification preferred
• ASP.NET certification preferred

Clearance (Required): Must currently possess at least a Secret Clearance
