Gallery Media Group is Hiring an Associate Editor Near New York City, NY
Gallery Media Group is a rapidly growing digital media company whose mission is to “make positivity louder.” Its three key sectors include:
- Media Publishing: PureWow, a women’s lifestyle brand; ONE37pm, a men’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, music, NFTs and sports; and a collection of premium podcast shows that includes the GaryVee Audio Experience, Mom Brain, In House with Arielle Charnas, Royally Obsessed and The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel.
- Social Portfolio: 50 owned operated accounts across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, including running TikTok accounts for brand partners
- Talent and Influencer Arm: Strategy and activations ranging from celebrity partnerships and stunts to year long ambassadorships and campaign work across platforms and categories
PureWow is seeking a full-time Associate Editor to write and create SEO content across all categories, including wellness, relationships, money and travel. This role is a key part of the editorial team and will work closely with PureWow's Growth team. The ideal candidate should be both a team player and a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and a passion for creating superb editorial content with the goal of ranking in Search.
Responsibilities:
- Write content focused on SEO keywords
- Retroactively optimize live articles while still maintaining the PureWow voice
- Identify and carry out content optimization opportunities across all PureWow verticals
- Collaborate closely with the audience development team and senior editors on a daily basis
- Use data and analytics to brainstorm and guide editorial decisions
- Build own content within CMS
- Assist with special SEO projects
Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant writing and editing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization
- A strong writer who is comfortable writing about a variety of topics especially wellness, relationships and travel
- Experience working with different types of Content Management Systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly adaptable and quick to learn
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Trends is a plus
In 3 Months You Will...
- Be proficient in our CMS system, Photoshop and our editorial workflow as it relates to copy editing, story approvals, image research and more
- Tackle multiple optimizations per day
- Pitch optimization projects
- Be comfortable using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Trends to guide optimization projects.
- Adding affiliate links to any and all relevant stories.
Location: New York (remote until further notice)
