Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate CAD submittal drawings based on sales contracts, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Work closely with customers and salespeople to obtain job specific information, coordinate equipment and equipment space requirements, and assure A17.1/EN safety code compliance.
• Generate custom production paperwork meeting customer design requirements and applicable safety codes utilizing current engineering designs and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, or processes to meet requirements.
• Perform on-site field visits to investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
• Provide technical customer service
• Perform design analysis and experiment to improve/maintain existing products ranging from simple to complex
• Establish or coordinate the maintenance or safety procedures, service schedule, or supply of materials required to maintain machines or equipment in the prescribed condition.

Education, Experience, and Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Relevant experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented with a strong background in creating multiple part assembly drawings, primarily involving sheet metal.
• Must be able to manage a project from beginning to end
• Proficiency with CAD required
• Ability to contribute suggestions for new and existing products
• Strong mathematics and mechanical knowledge required
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills required
