Job Summary

This full time, second shift employee leads bottling results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and correcting employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs and coaches bottling operators in the execution of bottling capsules and liquid herbal supplement products.
  • Efficiently meets or exceeds fulfillment goals while maintaining safety, quality and productivity and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborates with other departments and communicates plans and situations with cross departmental impact.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets production data to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Provides continuous improvement project support and facilitation.
  • Encourages teamwork and fosters a culture of empowerment and positive morale.
  • Provides strong leadership to direct reports regarding professionalism, courtesy and adherence to policy.
  • Maintains control documents, logs and databases according to company policy and associated SOPs within the Bottling Department.
  • Maintains time worked and attendance records, and tracks technicians’ performance.
  • Maintains all areas and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly manner.
  • Communicates daily with Fulfillment Management on daily activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provides direct front line leadership of Bottling staff.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2 years of production leadership experience at the Supervisory level is preferred. GMP/cGMP manufacturing experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, ability to troubleshoot and manage through machine outages with sound judgement and rationale.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
  • High initiative with the ability to anticipate issues and manage them proactively
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility.
  • Sound math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to handle tough conversations.
  • Intermediate computer skills to include Word, Excel, and MS360.
  • Ability to train on any shift and work any shift as the business dictates.

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to see from a distance and close up. Employee is occasionally asked to move or lift inventory weighing upwards of thirty-five (35) pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment of this job is a manufacturing plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
