G&S Business Communications is Hiring a Junior Account Executive (Raleigh) Near Raleigh, NC

Job Purpose: 

Junior Account Executives are responsible for project execution and day-to-day account activities as a part of a collaborative, multi-functional team 

G&S has a particular interest in the professional development of individuals from communities that are historically marginalized and currently underrepresented in our industry because of systemic bias or discrimination. Specifically, we encourage individuals of all genders (both cis and trans) from Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American/American Indian and LGBTQIA communities to apply.

Duties: 

  • Responsible for coordinating and executing content marketing projects, including:
  • Developing tactical governance and requirement documentation. 
  • Content development and editing for various mediums including web, social media, email, trade media and digital advertising. 
  • Prepare content for digital execution, including editing content for SEO; photography selection and preparation; placement selection; title and META tags; and coordinating upload with the web developers. 
  • Developing and executing email campaigns by coordinating with the marketing automation team. 
  • Coordinating social media posts and visual assets with community manager. 
  • Developing content for paid promotions and coordinating placement with the media team. 
  • Coordinating with event marketing team for display development and execution. 
  • Develop and manage a content calendar 
  • Establish relationship with trade editors and track media placements 
  • Understand and follow project processes. 
  • Collaborate with account senior leaders and the analysts to develop and deliver performance reports that provide actionable recommendations.
  • Provide regular proactive updates to supervisors and project managers on projects and responsibilities. 
  • Understand the audience segment and how to develop content aligned to the audience. 
  • Understand and execute upon the principles of media relations 
  • Participate in agency staff and group meetings. 
  • Track/enter time with precision on a daily basis. 
  • Special projects as needed. 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year agency or corporate communications or advertising experience 
  • A strong understanding of and experience with digital channels, technology and content marketing are required 
  • A willingness to be proactive and work effectively in an exciting and fast-paced team environment. 
  • Ability to apply logical thinking to problem-solving; providing practical solutions that achieve results. 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with clients, vendors and co-workers. 
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Must be a team player with a commitment and dedication to the agency’s success
