Summary

Provide effective, efficient and professional HR advice, guidance and support through various remote contact channels to clients and worksite employees. Lead and implement practices and policies to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance standards and best practices are achieved consistently across all HR services and all advice provided to clients. Ensure compliance standards of human resources are adhered to regarding employment records, data management, and applicable employment reporting requirements.

Act as an advisor to executive management team and team members concerning matters of compliance to include but not limited to: employee relations, employee complaint processes, investigative procedures, administrative (EEOC, FEP, DOL, etc.) charge responses, interpretation and application regarding employment regulations such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Sexual Harassment, performance management, severance agreements, etc.

In addition, this position plans and administers policies relating to all phases of transactional and strategic human resources activities. This position requires a strong knowledge of employment law and a robust experience in providing and administering transactional as well as strong experience in strategic HR support. The position further requires excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working in an HR leadership role, the right candidate must be able handle basic to complex HR questions, research and retrieve information, document work in our case management system, and respond in a timely manner using web, email, telephone, fax and video resources.
  • Using company procedures, policies, knowledge management, and other reference materials, answers and resolves end-to-end employee life cycle HR policies, practices, and services inquiries with timely, accurate, and professional responses.
  • Act as an HR leader they must work with all stakeholders concerning matters of HR compliance including but not limited to employee relations, employee complaint processes, investigative procedures, administrative (EEOC, FEP, DOL, etc.) charge responses, interpretation and application regarding employment regulations such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Sexual Harassment, performance management, severance agreements, etc.
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for improved services delivery and new transformation opportunities.
  • Perform quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of all HR services delivered to clients including workplace investigations, severance agreements, documentation of disciplinary actions, responses to administrative agencies charges and claims. Resolve clients’ and worksite employees’ complaints and answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the management, communication, necessary revisions and updates to HR policies and procedures as it relates to client compliance.
  • Identify areas of process improvement and potential liability regarding HR compliance.
  • Provide necessary training to team members concerning HR policies and procedures, employment laws and regulations, investigation of employee complaints, performance management, and other areas of HR compliance.
  • Coordinate, assist and conduct investigations as assigned.
  • Work directly with management team to respond to HR compliance request and data analysis for litigation, investigations, audits and other legal and regulatory procedures.
  • Supervise the work product of HR team members if necessary to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors, and problems.
  • Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.

  • Conduct research, compile, and prepare reports, manuals, correspondence, or other information required by clients, management or governmental agencies.
  • Recruiting, hiring and selection of new employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required.
  • 7 plus years of progressive experience in Human Resources with robust HR compliance experience.
