G&A Partners is Hiring a Data Manager Near San Antonio, TX

Overview

Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas (GSSWT) is headquartered in San Antonio, TX and serves more than 24,000 Girl Scouts (girls and adults) across 21 counties in southwest Texas. Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent leadership development organization for girls, building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

The Data Manager oversees data quality of council systems to ensure the data integrity of the information needed for decision making at all levels of the organization. The Data Manager regularly runs and reviews data quality reports to identify data quality issues, investigates root causes of data issues and works individually and in conjunction with specialist and management to implement corrective action. The Data Manager performs functions related to creation, update, and maintenance of council wide data in Volunteer Systems.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Volunteer Systems maintenance to include Salesforce, ASM, Hybris and Looker.
  • Manages work and performance of data specialist.
  • Resolves relevant escalated customer care cases.
  • Builds online program registrations.
  • Performs internal data audits and other project quality assurance activities.
  • Works with department director to design and generate data quality reports as required using Salesforce and Looker.
  • Reviews and cleans data for demographic reporting, weekly membership reports and program participation/registration rosters.
  • Troubleshoots issues and errors within database systems.
  • Participates in weekly business operations department meetings.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the council’s mission and goals.

  • Project Management - Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines; formulates short- and long-term project goals, objectives, schedules, and priorities in line with council goals; anticipates issues, obstacles, or opportunities that may impact plans or actions; ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines; establishes courses of action for accomplishing goals while attending to and incorporating information obtained during day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Problem Solving - Recognizes when immediate action is required; recognizes when sufficient information has been obtained to make a decision; makes decisions where appropriate or refers decisions to the appropriate organizational level; makes decisions without undue delay
  • Team-Building - Knows team-building techniques and processes; collaborates with others to create optimal solutions; fosters a commitment to a team approach to work; promotes partnerships between work units; collaboratively defines boundaries and outcomes of work responsibilities; shares information with others; recognizes and rewards team accomplishments; shares decision-making responsibility with team members.
  • Customer Service Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

Licensure/Membership Requirements: The employee is required to maintain membership with Girl Scouts of the United States of America throughout the duration of their employment with GSSWT.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in proficient with computer and Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word).
