G&A Partners is Hiring a Benefits Specialist Near San Antonio, TX

Overview

A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist to join its team near one of our G&A Offices. These locations include: Houston, TX, South Jordan, UT, Denver, CO, or San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

Enroll new employees in benefit plans and provides benefits orientation.

· Provide employee benefit deductions information to payroll.

· Process status changes and reviews claims.

· Process open enrollment benefit plan transfers.

· Maintain vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.

· Provide carriers appropriate documentation for life, pension, and disability benefits claims.

· Assist in preparing materials and in presenting benefit plan changes to employees.

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding coverage and addresses these issues with carriers.

· Respond to employee issues in compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125 and State laws.

· Respond to notifications from state agency regarding court ordered medical.

· Issue annual individual summary of benefits to employees.

· Maintain employee benefit files and other record keeping

Qualifications

Education: High School Degree or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent training/experience will be considered

Experience: Two years related experience and/or training required. Must be able to travel occasionally. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Must have ability to communicate effectively with all levels.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required. Prior HRP/Prism knowledge is a plus.

Certifications & Licenses: Life & Health license a plus.
