Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other duties as needed. A flexible work schedule can be discussed with candidate to best fit the needs of the company and the Technician. 

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Inspects and identifies items in need of repair.

· Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

· Plans repair work as needed.

· Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.

· Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

· Cleans and assists with general upkeep of the facilities.

· Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Maintain maintenance vehicle.

Available to work on non-scheduled days/times in case of emergencies. 

· Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol. 

· Perform residential repairs to clients’ homes that have been damaged. 

· Coordinate contractors and facilitate repairs as needed. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

· Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.

· Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.

· Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Valid drivers license. Will have company vehicle to drive to store locations.

· Experienced I operation a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools. 

· Effective written and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Related experience preferred.

· EPA certification required.

Physical Requirements: 

· Prolonged periods standing and walking.

· Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

· Able to work well with minimal supervision

· Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
