Business Analyst

We are seeking a candidate who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. We are looking for individuals that have a strategic viewpoint and are passionate about working with data. The Business Analyst will define key business metrics and create reports and dashboards used by management team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieving and analyzing data using Oracle SQL, Excel, Tableau and other data management systems
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining of metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
  • Reporting of key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines
  • Ensuring data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Rightside’s data resources
  • Developing and proposing new metrics, recommending strategies to stakeholders to improve business results, and working across organizations to make actionable findings available to business stakeholders
  • Supporting cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives
  • Responding with urgency to high priority requests from senior business leaders

Requirements:

  • 3 years of analytics or data modeling experience with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related technical field
  • Experience working in the IT field is highly desired
  • Experience with data/analytics tools and applications skills
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and ETL
  • Deadline driven, team player, with strong customer focus.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation 
  • Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate, work on multiple projects in parallel, follow through on issues, and solve unstructured problems
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbally) technical information and the results of analysis at all levels of the organization
