This role sits within “Corporate Functions”. The engine of Funding Circle - we keep the business running. Whatever the discipline, we turn dreams into reality and help small businesses to win.
What will you be doing?
As a Junior Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance Team, reporting to the Controller. This is a great fit for a candidate ready to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment and who is looking for opportunities to build, learn, and grow. This role will be responsible for key operational aspects of the Finance team, including those listed below.
- Process accounts payable using Bill.com, including verification of new vendors
- Administer employee expense reports in Concur and train new users
- Enter semi-monthly and special payrolls into Paylocity
- Initiate and tie out bank transactions
- Complete general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist with special projects
Are you?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Associate’s Degree in Accounting and 1 year of experience working in a similar role, and/or 2 years of experience working in a similar role
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Someone who possesses a solid grasp of accounting principles, including debits and credits, General Ledger, etc.
- Familiar with basic banking transactions
- Able to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that is constantly evolving
- A fast learner, able to understand the company’s business model and cash flows
- A self-starter, able to work independently without direct supervision
- Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, and Concur is a plus!
- Familiarity with Fintech or financial services is also a plus!
