OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Associate Buyer is responsible for material procurement and servicing from suppliers. This includes optimizing supply chain costs and delivery timing by working to reduce costs, lead-times, inventory levels, and improving supplier delivery reliability and quality. All work related activities should be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage business system to maintain accurate information.
• Support the Buyers with their vendor negotiations and other activities to hold vendors accountable. 
• Issue purchase orders, expedite shipments to address urgent part needs for R&D, Maintenance and Production.
• Ensure suppliers meet Fulton’s purchase order terms and conditions, pricing agreement, and warranty.
• Order various office supplies and negotiate supply agreements to keep Fulton competitive.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Walking - Ability to walk the manufacturing floor for extended periods of time.
• Noise - The worker is subject to noise on a regular basis and shouting may be required to be heard above noise level; hearing protection.
• Sitting - The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.
