Overview

This position has Hybrid flexibility, must have the ability to travel to our East Petersburg, PA location as needed.

Ensure the stability, performance, security, and efficient operation of cloud services and enterprise class data centers. Manage and support endpoint experience using modern management platforms. This is a technical role responsible for design, security, troubleshooting, and performance of assigned systems, demonstrating ownership and proactive maintenance. The Systems Engineer will help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the implementation, performance, availability, security, and ongoing management of cloud and on-premise systems. Design and deploy new technical solutions and enhancements to existing systems, software, and operating systems. Collaborate with network staff to ensure reliable operation and performance of systems and services. Design and perform security audits and recovery processes in accordance with the company’s compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies. Create and maintain documentation.
• Responsible for endpoint management and application delivery, image creation and maintenance, application packaging/deployment, patching, and client security (including encryption, anti-virus, and firewall). Enforce both mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) best practices. Leverage cloud automation and policy-based management to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Responsible for design recommendations and coordinating the onboarding, technical installation, and deployment of new solutions/services. Research and recommend new technologies to enhance performance, redundancy, and security. Manage and support technology projects. Review interactions and technical implementations of other Engineers, providing feedback to ensure professional, accurate, and consistent service.
• Act as a 3rd tier escalation point for enterprise wide impact technical issues. Drive advanced support in coordination with other IT staff as well as vendor hardware/software specialists to isolate and resolve technical problems. Maintain technical skills by attending and completing various seminars and training courses and reading appropriate technical materials. Provide SME training and support for Tier 2 technical staff as it relates to supported technologies.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: Computer Science, Information Science or related technology field. (Required)

Required Experience

• 5 or more years managing enterprise data center technologies such as Active Directory, group policy, virtualization, servers and network storage. Configuring and managing virtualized desktops and application delivery. 
• 3 or more years managing and supporting Microsoft endpoint management platforms including image management. Implementing and supporting desktop and mobile devices, applications, peripherals, and network devices. Documenting system architecture and configurations. 
• 1 or more years managing Azure Active Directory and M365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, etc.

Certifications

Azure Foundations or equivalent certification. (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In depth knowledge of orchestration, automation scripting and scripting languages such as PowerShell (Required)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees (Required)
