FUJIFILM is Hiring a Training Specialist Near Research Triangle Park, NC

Overview

The Training Specialist will support 1-3 departmental functions within the company. In the initial year, this role will be focused on training for the Quality Control and Assurance departments, in addition to Process Development- primarily in analytical service areas.

The individual will be responsible for identifying training needs, developing or sourcing appropriate content and delivering courses internally and will work with the managers in the departments to develop an annual training plan that aligns with the overall site goals and overall HR and Training strategy and metrics. This role will also be responsible for tracking and entering the course details, the cGMP and job function training completion in the applicable learning management system.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Align the department’s training goals with the overall site goals and longer term HR and training strategy.
  • Meet with employees and managers within the function to identify the areas where we have current training gaps and develop plans for providing needed content.
  • Create training plans for the various key roles in the departments, to ensure successful learning for new employees into the company and new employees that move into the department.
  • Find ways to help demonstrate creative ways for improved learning on the job through task review, training and testing where applicable, and provide hands on training instruction.
  • Find departmental SMEs to review and approve content, and to help review any external training that is sourced for delivery.
  • Complete an ongoing review to identify, simplify and streamline where possible all compliance and online training curriculums to ensure continuous training is offered on the job as well as online.
  • Develop training resources such as user guides, reference materials, and testing materials to identify levels of learners, and to help identify where further training may be needed.
  • Develop plans for professional development training options for the departments along with the functional job specific training needs.
  • Will be responsible for facilitation of New Leader Assimilation and teambuilding activities on occasion, related to organizational development.
  • Will partner with human resources business partners for mentoring, talent management and other organizational efforts that involve the designated functions the Training Specialist works with.
  • This role will review other training materials across FDB and Fujifilm to leverage pricing and content, and to ensure we are not re-creating when materials may exist in other forms that could be utilized.
  • Maintain administration for the departments you support in the learning management system.
  • Run reports on metrics regularly. Seek customer input and feedback on course delivery to support ongoing improvements.
  • File, report and save documents related to training in an orderly way for audit availability.
  • SCOPE MEASURES:

    This role will report to the Training department contained within an overall Human Resources function. The individual will need to be able to stand when facilitating training delivery, and will occasionally need to lift boxes of materials, and prepare training rooms with flip charts, easels and white boards.

    BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years facilitating and developing training content for a business or functional department.
    • Experience in public speaking, developing training materials and facilitation.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite, and other content development software.
    • Experience negotiating pricing and scopes of work with external training providers.
    • Experience in a manufacturing, quality, science or pharmaceutical / life sciences organization would be an asset. Any experience in a scientific or quality environment, providing analytical instrument, compliance and regulatory training would be extremely helpful.
    • Strong teamwork abilities.
    • Position will be primarily onsite for training delivery and the candidate may have to facilitate training during night shift operations after 7pm occasionally (approximately twice per month).
