Join FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies in our new facility location - Thousand Oaks, California! The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. The job holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting systems. They will forecast revenue, calculate and entry of month end journals, guide cost analysis, as well as oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accounting systems for reporting.
• Responsible for the production and submission of accurate and timely internal management and corporate reporting on a month and quarterly basis. Ensure that all balance sheet and P&L items are accurate, reviewed and reconciled.
• Oversee the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other transactional team members as appropriate.
• Responsibility for the calculation, posting and forecasting of revenue with an understanding of ASC606 revenue recognition standard.
• Responsibility for the calculation and entry of month end journals as required.
• Responsible for banking transactions and cash management to determine the Company’s cash funding requirements.
• Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
• Support the Head of Finance by preparing reports and analysis as requires.
• Supporting the Head of Finance with the management of an ongoing transitional service agreements
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
• Various ad hoc queries as directed by HoF or Controller

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA).
• 3 years’ experience as a Public Accountant.
• Solid knowledge of USGAAP.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of ACS606 revenue recognition preferred.
