The Quality Control Associate will report directly to the Supervisor, Quality Control at the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies California (FDBC) location. The job holder will be responsible for performing routine testing for in-process, intermediates, final product, and stability of clinical and/or commercial lots. They will participate in troubleshooting, investigations and/or technical reports as needed.

Position Summary

This role supports the Quality Control and manufacturing operations by executing QC analytical assays for in-process, product release and stability. The candidate must have knowledge of GMP laboratory and documentation practices as well as proficiency in basic laboratory skills (pipetting, aseptic practices, solution preparation, cell culture) Bioassay, cell biology or immunology experience a plus. The selected individual will be expected to support cell culture, routine GMP testing, QC projects for clinical and commercial products in compliance with GMP regulations.

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

• With guidance and support from senior team members, performs routine testing for in-process, intermediates, final product, and stability of clinical and/or commercial lots.
• Participates in troubleshooting, investigations and/or technical reports as needed.
• May participate in the analytical method transfer and/or validation, as well as critical reagents qualifications
• Draft and review laboratory SOPs, test methods and technical documents.
• Supports internal and external inspections and audits as needed (preparation, data retrieval etc).
• Aids management and senior level staff in support of nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis and participates in implementation of solutions
• Participates in laboratory upkeep activities (instrument maintenance, cleaning, organizing, re-stocking) as needed
• Ensure compliance with applicable company requirements and global regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology, or Biology.

• 0-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in cell-based bioassay and cell culture is preferred.
• Quality control experience in the pharmaceutical industry supporting cGMP areas is preferred.
• Experience in cGMP cell therapy manufacturing and/or testing facility is a plus.
