FUJIFILM is Hiring a Principal Project Engineer Near Holly Springs, NC

Overview

The Principal Project Engineer is a vital role to ensuring that CapEx projects at our Holly Springs site are executed consistently, efficiently and in accordance with our project model, systems, guidelines, and standards. As Principal Project Engineer, you will create and govern our project model and set those guidelines and standards for this major biopharmaceutical manufacturing site. You will ensure alignment on shared goals through collaboration with the Denmark location, engaging with other sites and stakeholders as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategies for Holly Springs site project engineering in alignment with the business and provide oversight and guidance for top management stakeholders to make decisions on strategic capital projects.
  • Collaborate with Denmark site management and engineering organizations to ensure alignment across sites and local expectations, key metrics and goals on major projects.
  • Establish strategies and priorities for the engineering department. Conduct periodic meetings to ensure that the group maintains cross-functional coordination.
  • Develop and manage expense budgets for project engineering
  • Improve upon the FDB Holly Springs capital business processes for running the strategic capital portfolio by creating transparency and direction.
  • Identify, develop, implement, and maintain the needed governance tools guidelines and standards for the site to perform successfully and consistently on the CapEx portfolio.
  • Participate in strategic capital planning for the sites. Support the development of Tech Maps, Masterplans and Long Range Plans for the site. Compile input for the global CapEx board and the global capital planning/budgeting process.
  • Facilitate master planning of CapEx projects (5-year horizon)
  • Support the development of feasibility studies and conceptual briefs on major strategic projects.
  • Build and maintain external networks with major CapEx players, equipment, and engineering firms.
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars to stay abreast of new technology and trends.
  • Lead the reporting processes on strategic capital projects. Lead CapEx board meetings and become a member of Steering Groups of strategic CapEx projects.
  • Cross-functional collaborative and project team leadership assignment consistent with personal strategic, operational and technical leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor or Master of Science Degree, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial or Chemical preferred)
  • A minimum of 15 years related experience with CapEx projects in a pharmaceutical/biotech-manufacturing environment
  • Have a proven track record of the management of large project portfolios and/or the capability for managing all aspects of project execution for projects greater than $100 million.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in portfolio- and project management governance, tools and systems and know how to build the key competencies needed to establish a strong global capital engineering organization.
