Join FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies in our new facility location - Thousand Oaks, California! The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will report directly to the Head of Finance at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. The job holder will be responsible for reconciliation and management of inventory. They will assist the Controller with Fixed Asset training and monthly accounting.

Reports to Head of Finance

Work Location Thousand Oaks, CA 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and manage raw material inventory.
• Assist Controller with Fixed Asset tracking and monthly accounting.
• Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications, coordinating information requirements.
• Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Leads effort in preparing annual and recurring budgets/forecasts/planning.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements in coordination with the Controller.
• Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
• Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
• Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
• Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Participates in ad hoc projects as appointed by the Company/Head of Finance.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA preferred in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred.
• 2 years’ experience as a Public Accountant.
• 8 years’ experience Forecasting/Planning/Budgeting
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
• Audit experience preferred.
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
