Overview

Position Description

The Compensation Analyst analyzes, designs, and administers compensation programs, including base pay, long and short-term incentives, and employee recognition that align with company objectives. Communicates pay structures, grades, and guidelines. Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines. Evaluates jobs and develops and maintains job descriptions and job architecture. Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends. May also support sales incentive (commission) plans including design, creation and maintenance of plan documents, administration, and analysis. 

This position is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Research, gather, and analyze data to develop appropriate salary level and job title for new positions and internal promotions.
  • Assist in the design, communication, administration of company salary plan, long and short-term incentives, sales incentives and employee recognition plans.
  • Develop appropriate job descriptions and maintain a database for accessing this information.
  • Participate in multiple salary and compensation practice surveys.
  • Assist in the preparation of statistical analysis and data models in support of analytics to evaluate all company compensation plans.
  • Provide support to HR Subsidiaries concerning interpretation of compensation practices and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Education

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Requires three to five years of compensation experience, with working knowledge of job matching, salary benchmarking and writing job descriptions.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Maintain high level of discretion in confidential matters.

 Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP including Business Warehouse reporting.
  • Use of compensation administration systems.
