Credentialing Specialist/HR Assistant Job Overview:

  • Provide Credentialing and Privileging Support Services.
  • Support providers with initial credentialing.
  • Review the licensure, training and education of skilled care providers (e.g. Physicians, mid-levels, nurses, administrative support and others) and assure their clinical competency
  • Maintain regulatory compliance in accordance with the Joint Commission
  • Maintain providers credentialing files
  • Shall notify the provider to complete the requisite forms
  • Collect and finalize any outstanding credentials elements
  • Assemble documentation into a single packet of information for review
  • Provide excellent service to the candidates and client throughout the process
  • Maintain files as assigned
  • Adhere to the Joint Commission Standards
  • Adhere to the FSR SOP
  • Provide support services to the HR Department as assigned.
  • Provide excellent customer service to field employees
  • Close out actionable items in a timely manner
  • Maintain Reports as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Credentialing Specialist Job Qualifications:

  • Military medical credentialing experience preferred
  • Human Resources experience - preferred
  • Office, Sharepoint, and computer platforms - high proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Customer Service skill

Work Environment and Physical Demands This role operates in a professional environment, routinely using standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; occasional evening and weekend work may be required as role duties demand.

Travel Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
