Current Frost employees must apply using the Careers application in Workday (not through this site) Job Description As a Senior Credit Risk Officer with Frost, you will be responsible for the review and approval of loans and credit limits, under little oversight, within various product areas for commercial banking relationships. Responsibilities will include verifying that proposed loan packages meet organization credit standards, and reviewing for completion and accuracy; reviewing and approving credit requests, modifications, amendments and waivers for commercial banking relationships; overseeing credit requests range across various product areas, including but not limited to: loans, treasury management, global trader services, and other exposures; reviewing credit limit requests to include: appropriateness of product type, overall level of credit extension, borrower’s ability to repay, loan package conforms to organizational standards, and affirmation of risk grade; monitoring various lending teams, groups of lending teams, and lines of business portfolios for credit risk issues, including but not limited to: exception reporting, past dues, loan agreement compliance, trend analysis, and identification of emerging risks; ensuring the efficient delivery of credit risk to promote an excellent customer experience both internally and externally; acting as a source of knowledge to assist in identifying relevant content for credit education programs; providing guidance and feedback on how proposed loan packages can be improved; as needed, attending client and prospective client meetings to provide a credit perspective; and as needed, working with regional leadership teams and executive management to provide a credit risk perspective and/or subject matter expertise. The candidate will evaluate the structure of the loan, ensuring an appropriate product type and level of credit is extended to the borrower and decision requests with a credit approval limit of up to $20 million. Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting 15 years of banking experience, with completion of a formal credit training program or equivalent knowledge of credit analysis and secured lending Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft computer applications Preferred: Experience as a Relationship Manager or within Special Assets
