Frontwave Credit Union is Hiring a Member Service Specialist Near Oceanside, CA

Overview

The Member Service Specialist is responsible for providing specialized services to members that is technical in nature such as the overall processing of IRA’s, Trust Accounts, Share Certificates, and decedent accounts. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies, procedures and business practices.

  • Handles detailed IRA transactions, including deposits, recurring distributions and tax reporting. 
  • Handles recurring transactions associated with Share Certificates and monthly dividend distributions.
  • Periodically reviews branch work on IRAs and certificates to include documentation, transactions, maintenance, penalties, and dividends for the purpose of quality control.
  • Processes necessary forms or documents associated with Trust and decedent accounts.
  •  Prepares and submits claims for credit union’s debt protection program.
  •  Responsible for staying abreast of regulatory requirements and changes associated with IRA and trust accounts.
  •  Processes levies and garnishments as required by law.
  •  Serves as the primary contact for branch personnel with detailed questions associated with IRAs, Trust accounts, Share Certificates, and decedent accounts
  •  Assists in the training of department staff. 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).

Two years’ experience in a credit union or similar financial institution having a proficient understanding of IRAs, Share Certificates, Trust Accounts and decedent accounts.
