Overview

FTI is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to add its team. This position is responsible for providing System Engineering and/or Airworthiness and Test expertise in support of acquisitions and test and evaluation activities for the Department of the Air Force. This individual will serve on the B-2 System Program Office directly supporting all systems engineering responsibilities as identified by the Air Force Bomber System Program Office. In addition, this individual will ensure engineering program requirements, standards, objectives, goals, and milestones are being met while optimizing the overall efficiency of the team.

Responsibilities

• Implement and apply Systems Engineering strategy, methods and tools across acquisition programs.
• Leverage systems engineering expertise to support program acquisition efforts.
• Support engineering activities to achieve Military Flight and Fielding Recommendations.
• Evaluate data supporting Developmental and Operational Test design, execution, and reporting.
• Support and evaluate program milestones and deliverables including System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, TEMP updates, and Integrated DT/OT testing plans.
• Provide engineering support to implement, execute and report airworthiness certification processes on acquisition programs.
• Support engineering processes such as a CCB, STRB and ETRB.
• Ability to develop and evaluate proposal documents (IMP, SOW, SRD/PRD).

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, Master of Science degree in Engineering desired.
• A minimum of 6 years of direct-related experience, 8 preferred.
• Experience with Systems Engineering, Test and Evaluation, Airworthiness tools and processes for aerospace system architecture development.
• Ability to work with cross-functional, geographically disperse teams (i.e. project manager, logisticians, engineers, program analysts, etc).
• Familiarity with requirements traceability and configuration management processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing and presenting briefings and writing concise technical reports.
• Previous experience at System Program Office (SPO) is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in DoD Aerospace programs is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with the B-2 aircraft is a plus.
• Ability to travel (~10% of time).
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain.
