Frontier Technology Inc. is Hiring a Strategic Planner Near Norfolk, VA

Overview

The Strategic Planner is a senior-level position located at USFF in Norfolk, VA. This individual performs overall management of contract staff and work, serving as the primary point of contact with Government Program Manager and COR. Duties include the strategic and long-range program planning related to the development of RRL initiatives, analysis of strategic training gaps and standardizing procedures and reference guides. The Strategic Planner will provide support in the development of briefing material to support the RRL Executive Steering Committees and Integration boards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis to support long range planning related to the development of RRL initiatives and the integration of related learning technologies and information system requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for standardized procedures and guidance to establish consistency in execution of mission-critical processes while streamlining mission performance.
  • Examine current process variance and gaps, and recommend process redesign solutions and change management activities that will reduce process schedule time, lower cost, and/or improve overall program performance.
  • Identifies possible gaps and risks, documenting recommended mitigations that will reduce process schedule time, lower cost, and/or improve overall program performance.
  • Provide program support for regular RRL reviews, conferences, briefings and other meetings. 
  • Provides oversight and leadership to RRL contracted staff
  • Manages the activities of individual contributors; supports management functions include the support of recruitment, hiring, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Assists with management decisions and activities with working knowledge of team function within the organization

Education/Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, or Strategy.
  • Secrect Clearance
  • 7 years of Navy staff experience
  • A minimum 2 years of experience with Navy Echelon I or II, processes, planning, and training systems.
  • Education Equivalency: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in business management, public policy, or strategic development and 2 years of experience with Navy.
