Frontier Technology Inc. is Hiring a Remote Senior Software Test Engineer
Overview
Frontier Technology Inc. is looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to support the research and development of new software technologies. As a Software Test Engineer, you will build solutions to perform manual and automated system testing of software features, maintain and improve the automated system test suite and collect system test metrics for reporting.
Must be in or Willing the Relocate to Alexandria, VA. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Building test script using CI/CD pipeline and strong knowledge using Automation testing tools such as Selenium, Jmeter, or ALM.
- Provide systems engineering and test skills which includes determining requirements for test environments, develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, execute and document tests.
- Write, update and maintain automated system test scripts to verify system functionality.
- Participate in peer reviews of system tests and features.
- Maintain readiness of testbed to support developer debugging and testing of new software features.
- Write clear, concise documentation for all system tests.
- Prepare and present reports on software testing status to external stakeholders and sponsors during Sprint Reviews and program reviews.
- Diagnose and debug faults with Linux operating system and system hardware components.
- Baseline and manage network virtual machines (VMs) to support system testing and manage VM infrastructure (create new VMs, delete old VMs).
- Administer lab networks, including backup of all management network devices, replace equipment as necessary, label cables and update as necessary, to support system testing.
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced higher education certification or degree in engineering, IT, or related is a plus.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills .
- 6 years of experience in devops engineering and advanced knowledge of DevOps.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Artifactory, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
