The Liquid Handling Technician position is responsible for liquid sample order fulfillment for our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fulfill client liquid sample order requests and preparing them for delivery to their destination in a manner that meets company standards.
• Organization and maintenance of various liquid sample repositories, manual operations (e.g. hand picking of tubes and hand pipetting), and operating liquid handling robotics (Tecan, Tomtec, etc.).
• Maintaining and retrieving plates/tubes from -20°C freezer
• Proficiency with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Centrifuging and sonicating plates
• Unsealing microplates
• Operating liquid handling robotic workstations
• Manual (hand) pipetting
• Working with unknown compounds
• Working with DMSO, MeOH, and TFA
• Sealing plates
• Packing up and shipping microplates using dry ice
• Data transfer
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment – including wiping down work area, thoroughly cleaning all utensils, restock supplies, sweep work station and remove all trash
• Maintains regular work schedule and is free from excessive absenteeism or tardiness
• Performs all other duties as assigned
