Proven skill in advancing/sustaining continuous improvement to deliver quality, customer service, associate safety, innovation, and cost performance is a core requisite. Job Description: The Operations Manager provides day-to-day leadership for all fulfillment activities within our Wilshire (Phoenix, AZ) Distribution Center. This role serves as the connection between business success and customer experience; through leading and teaching teams, executing business objectives, managing change, and consistently demonstrating and advocating our values. This role is fully accountable for service and financial performance results as well as maintaining superior employee morale in a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direct oversight for all Supervisors and Associates in the facility while working collaboratively with cross functional partners who support the operations (Food Safety Quality Assurance, HR, Maintenance, Procurement, etc.) Lead with a collaborative approach - continually evaluate, measure, and refine processes to improve efficiencies, quality, and customer satisfaction Work with a sense of urgency to ensure that operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved and teams are kept informed and coordinated across functions Foster a “safety first” culture through awareness, training and accountability Ensure regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies. Engage all team members using open/honest dialogue that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement Provides timely and accurate reporting across key business metrics to demonstrate productivity and quality performance Develop and manage through a monthly / annual budget process Manage relationships with vendors, peers and corporate functional team members to ensure business objectives are achieved Ensure company policies, procedures, and culture are executed and practiced effectively Provide strategic leadership and guidance to develop, coach, and mentor support staff Familiarity with local talent pool opportunities and challenges, local wages and labor laws, competitors, etc. preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, Operations, or related field is strongly preferred At least 10 years of operations experience in a multi-channel, order fulfillment business environment with significant amount of that time in management Fulfillment experience in a food, CPG, or related industry required. Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others Strong analytical and change management skills required. Proven track record assessing and developing talent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Key leadership competencies in addition to high ethical standards, strong values, integrity, drive to deliver results, pride in personal and team performance, decision quality, building effective teams, and action orientation are fundamental imperatives.
