Title: Software Engineer 
Duration: 1 year with high possibly of extension
Location: Onsite in Bellevue, WA or New York, NY or Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA or San Diego, CA

Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week 

Role:
- Support partner integrations and quality initiatives across calling platforms. 
- Work to improve quality and reliability of the platforms without slowing down the strategic bets.
- Write and code supporting media transport for real-time calls in the Facebook/Meta messaging ecosystem.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to the management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database requirements and estimate time and cost required to accomplish projects and tasks.

Skills:
- 5 years using C and 2 years using SQL experience in required.
- Experience working with large-scale systems.
- Prior API and infrastructure experience (in terms of infrastructure is for supporting AV calls, web RTC, backend systems, and data extremes not building product infrastructure).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems, such as C/C .

Education: BSCSE or relevant field or equivalent experience.
