French & Parrello is Hiring an Engineering Technician Near Hackettstown, NJ
French & Parrello Associates is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician who will strive for excellence and have a great eye for detail. The position will involve field soil testing for septic system and stormwater facilities as well as office work in creating formal soils reports and preparing design applications and plans. The candidate should have experience in soil testing and evaluation as well as AutoCAD experience. The applicant will go above and beyond to ensure that the client receives a quality evaluation and report.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field
- 2 Years of experience
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the project proposal effort by defining the project scope of work and budget.
- Observing and documenting field activities
- Sampling, testing, and inspecting soils
- Performing calculations and data reduction of test results along with drafting
- Using field screening equipment and documenting readings
- Translating field notes and reports into formal applications and reports for presentation
- Experience in AutoCAD is a plus
- Reading maps, following directions, and interpreting engineering and construction plans
- Interacting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
