Freed Hardeman University is Hiring a Systems Administrator Near Henderson, TN

Description

This Systems Administrator role is highly technical in nature. The position involves design, administration, configuration, installation, security, and troubleshooting with an emphasis on our ERP and related systems. 

This position reports to the Director of Information Technology

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deploy and administer Windows virtual machines (Hyper-V)
  • Perform virtual and physical server installation, configuration, maintenance, updates, & documentation.
  • Manage & administer Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace environments.
  • Oversee all software and hardware installations, configuring, maintenance, and monitoring of the university-wide ERP, and maintenance of IT systems related to ERP system administration
  • Assists with the administration and data interface with Ellucian Cloud Solutions such as Ellucian Experience, Ethos Integration, Analytics, and E-Transcripts.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and restoring services by analyzing, identifying, and diagnosing faults.
  • Works with software and hardware vendors to resolve issues and correct errors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant position
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies like Server, SQL Database, Office, Active Directory as well as MFA, and SSO
  • Problem solver
  • Positive attitude

Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
