We are looking for an outgoing, detail-driven individual who has a desire to motivate families to become licensed/verified in foster care or adoption. This position will be able to work from the Waxahachie office or Bedford office. 

About the Program and Position:

Texas Baptist Home for Children (TBHC) serves foster children and supports foster/adoptive families throughout the DFW area. We are a Christian agency whose purpose is to: Glorify God by Caring for Children. 

Our Recruiter is a representative of TBHC at recruitment events and interacts with the community across the DFW metroplex. The recruitment and retention of families is a key element to our ministry as we need to bring in new families to welcome children into their homes. To provide the quality care to the children and families, this will require team coordination, organization and some travel throughout the DFW area. (DFW area includes but not limited to the following counties: Dallas, Ellis, Tarrant, Johnson, Rockwall, Kaufman, Denton, Collin)

Bachelors Degree required, preferably in marketing or communication skills. 

Strong communication skills preferred. 

Schedule:

• Office Hours: Monday -Thursday 8:00am- 5:00pm
• Will require some weekends and evenings 
  • Weekend trainings for foster family trainings; Evenings for community/recruitment event
• Will require travel around the DFW Metroplex

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement a recruitment and retention strategy to bring in new families
• Provide support and assistance to potential foster and/or adoptive parents when they are seeking information about the program
• Represent the agency and program at a variety of recruitment events and venues
• Train and present emergency behavioral intervention and trauma informed parenting training for foster adoptive parents and staff
• Responsible for managing inquires, explanation and process of potential foster or adoptive parents
