Fred Olivieri Construction Co is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near North Canton, OH
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for maintaining the Vendor database, processing invoices utilizing Timberscan software and the Sage Accounting System, tracking Subcontract and material invoices to the appropriate Subcontract or Purchase Order, and arranging final payments to Subcontractors to secure final lien waivers for the Project.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain vendors in Sage software
- Process invoices and route them to the appropriate approvers
- Maintain spreadsheets, reconciliations, and review for accuracy
- Enter financial transactions into internal database
- Process check runs
- Track use tax
- Process subcontractor paperwork
- Track/collect final lien waivers
- Prepare 1099 list for year-end forms to be used
- Answer phones and emails from clients and vendors
- Maintain and distribute reports as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computing skills, including the ability to operate computerized accounting spreadsheets and word processing programs
- Accuracy and efficiency when completing data entry tasks
- General math skills
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Preferences:
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE and Timberscan
- Experience in the Construction Industry
- Experience in an Accounting role
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Professional office environment
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, file cabinets, and postage machine
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
Work Schedule:
- Standard office hours, 40 hours a week – Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Flexible schedule is available.
