The Demand Planning Analyst function is a key role within our Supply Chain Management Organization. Excellent informational and analytical analyses and organizational skills are a necessity. Key objectives will be managing the Statistical Forecast on the monthly basis, creation of forecasts for new sku introductions, managing the Capacity Planning process and working collaboratively with Inventory Planning on the output, owning Direct Ship demand and PO management and being a key stakeholder in the S&OP process.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with the Forecasting/Business Planning teams to ensure on time submission of monthly forecasts

• Responsible for rolling up monthly forecasts by sku and comparing to LY and prior forecast submissions – ability to speak to which algorithms were used in the demand planning software to create the statistical forecast and why

• Responsible for taking the monthly forecast and comparing against the capacity plans (by month) for each factory. Identify the outliers to be presented during S&OP for solution management

• Once the monthly capacity plan is complete, pass on to the Inventory Planners for PO submission

• Own the demand and PO processes for the Direct Ship business

• Create Forecast Accuracy reporting and discuss finding with the business during S&OP

• Own the bi-annual process for determining the lifecycle of a sku (discontinuation, etc).

• Create necessary output documents in preparation for the monthly S&OP meetings and be a driver of the process

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with focus in Business, Statistical Analytics, Supply Chain Management or related field

• 3 years of experience in demand planning, ideally in the consumer goods industry with extensive knowledge of ERP, MRP and forecasting theory

• Experience with Demand Planning/Supply Chain Software a plus

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Possess solid analytics skills in forecasting and scenario building

• Problem solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized with great follow through abilities

• Advanced computer user skills (Word, Excel – esp. V-lookup & Pivot Tables, Outlook)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle between daily, weekly, monthly demands

• Ability to work well under pressure and able to work cross functionally with all levels in the organization and with outside vendors and clients

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Interact independently with internal and external parties, has the knowledge to make independent decisions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position does not supervise employees
